Drain the oil from the tank and refill it with three quarts of fresh oil. Remove the oil filter and take the spark plugs out of the engine. Using the starter spin the engine over for about 20 seconds without the new filter on the engine. Then wait about five minutes and do it again.

The Roadster lacks the old Sport's adjustable suspension, but includes its dual front brakes, tachometer and low-rise handlebar. So now I'm a proud owner of a 2012 Harley-Davidson Sportser Custom 1200. Scratch one more item from my "Bucket List". I'm glad I took the the Basic Motorcycle Riding and Safety Course from the dealer because this really prepared me to better appreciate my first motorcycle.
