I played Far Cry 5 when it came out and loved playing it especially with friends. The mechanics were great, the story was good and fun was had by all. The one ending was neat where you forgave Joseph seed and drove away was a quick and jarring twist but you knew that wasn't the main ending.

I don't know about Far Cry 1 and 2 but Far Cry 3, 4 and 5 are absolutely connected thanks to Hurk who was in these games too. I liked the game but I'm not sure about the ending. Like, on one hand, I think playing the two games back to back could be a really good experience but on the hand, I kind of feel cheated.
Far Cry 5 is a bloody good time, but sometimes you just want to take a break from all the headshots and gruesome immolation. Sometimes a weary hero just wants to kick back and catch a few fish.
The ending was a breath of fresh air. Good triumphing over evil in most stories gets old fast. If you want that, go watch a superhero movie. As soon as I finished the resist ending, I was like "Holy ♥♥♥♥". It was unexpected and unlike all other Far Cry games where the bad guys all die and the good guy wins.
